Anyone ever had their computers turn off randomly, PS good, Grounding good.?

I know what I'm doing when it comes to computers, this is really weird though. It'll run fine for maybe 2-15 hours, sometimes a couple days. then for no reason it'll power off (not shutdown). Windows does not recover as if from a crash, and the power button will not turn the computer back on, Must remove power then reaply. Originally thought the PS was bad and resently bought a new one. Any ideas?

Clean out your computer with an ''office duster'' can of compressed air. If the MB or CPU gets too hot it will automatically shut itself down to protect from heat failure. My computer was having a similar problem and a simple cleaning was the solution. Becareful not to touch any components before ''grounding'' yourself to the chassis of the computer because electrostatic discharge (ESD) came damage memory and other components in your PC. Hope I helped.

Thanks, yes unfortunately sometimes dismantling is nessessary. I've found that you have to really get the heat sink fins of the CPU very clean because that is what was causing me so much grief before Report It
