Tehcnology has made alot of people unemployed due to its advances, but Computers have contributed alot to improving our society. To think, if you were to use a type writer or had wrote someting and you made a mistake. you'd have to start again. Fora comptuer, all you do is press backspace and you can fix up your mistake. Computers are using in libraries as databases. The librarian scans the book, the computer searches for it and lets the librarian know that it has been either borrowed, returned or overdue buy however many days. Schools used computers for data entry, to keep a record of students and staff... so for example, a teacher goes to write a report, it is done electronically and they can see the students face to write the report and as i sadi before, they can delete their mistakes without starting again.

trainstatioins use a machine for you to buy the tickets from to save queues instead of going to the ticket man (they do in Australia, im not sure aboutthe rest of the world)

An airport i think in seatle uses a computer x-ray machine to detect hidden items in a persons body.
