Since computers are getting so fast and have so much memory will they be able to store every movie a

ever recorded someday? I think that by 2020 computers will have hard drives so big that you'll be able to store every single movie that's ever been recorded, not just hollywood but in the entire history of the world on mpg or avi. The possibilities are endless!

Not likely. You're talking thousands of terabytes of storage to do that. And what would be the point of storing thousands of silent movies, and movies in languages you don't understand, and never will?

In my opinion, the Netflix model, without the mail, and without physical DVDs, is the coming thing. With enough bandwidth cheaply, it makes more sense to be able to download and watch any movie, conveniently, as you desire, for a few cents, than to ''own'' and store lots of copies of things you rarely, if ever want to watch.

Maybe there is going to be batter compression format.
it is possible now.if you are willing to buy enough detachable hard drives.there are a lot of films and music tracks out there.you will also need plenty of time (a lifetime).so the answer is yes,if you have enough storage capacity and enough time.why bother???
if you get enought memory they will but it will be slow because the computer will run much much slower than a normal one
not for a long long time... why?
