i have 2 computers at home trying to sign into yahoo chat at the same time but yahoo signs 1 computer off when the othere signs on

if you sign on the same account for both computers then it won't work.
If your computers are both connected to a network high speed connection, and you have two different screen names, then it shouldn't be a problem signing on twice.
