Rooter connection threw 2 computers?

I just bought a rooter, to connect 2 computers in the same house. Only I cannot make the computer ''read'' the rooter, so it doesn't work. Can anyone help me with that?

Rooter connection threw 2 computers?network security

Ok, obviously you configured your network card to connect to the router (you did enable WEP or WAP Encryption- right?) Just follow along and see what you missed....or may have missed.

1) Did you connect the correct CAT5 wire to the router? You should have a phone line or coax cable going into your modem, a cat 5 (network wire) going from the modem to the WAN port of the router.

2) If you have DSL, most carriers use PPOE. If so, the router (if its not in gateway mode) must be set up using your ISP's Account information. (ie username/password) Usually on the index /first page of the router logon screen, there are settings that need to be configured. You usualyy have a drop down box where you can choose PPOE (or whatever service you have). If you choose PPOE, the username/password boxes should appear/become active.

3) If you are using cable, then most need the MAC address of the PC to be cloned before you can connect. Somewhere in the router, (depending on your model) , there should be a ''CLONE MAC ADDRESS setting. Enter (or hit the clone button if you have it) and apply the settings. The route should be in gateway mode. MAC addresses can be found in the hardware settings of the computer.

Can computers play DVDs of any region?

Can computers play any region DVDs? If not, how can you get them to play a Region 2 DVD? Also, can a portable DVD player play different regions if it has different languages on it?

Can computers play DVDs of any region?network

The older computer used to be able to, but not anymore. You can change the region of the DVD drive in your computer but only a very limited number of times. Then it's stuck on the last one you selected. If you want to play a region 2 discs regularly, get a second DVD drive for your computer. They're cheap enough so this is an affordable option. Another answer is to get a multi-region DVD player for your TV.

Can computers play DVDs of any region?norton

I know england uses PAL format and when I made a DVD for my friend down there i forgot and used the standard USA format (NTSC) ...

the said they put the DVD in their PC and it played without a problem so I'm guessing the answer to your question is going to be yes but I'm not 100% sure on that...
yes computers can play any type of DVD from any region but portable DVD player can't play everything. they can only play their own region DVDs

How to conect 2 computers to the internet???nortan antivirus

I have a feeling this won't work out for you... find a friend who knows how to set up a network and get him or her to do it for you.

How to conect 2 computers to the internet???nortonantivirus

Go to your router's settings by typing the default gateway into a browser such as Internet Explorer. (Usually, it's 192.168.0.1, but it can differ depending on the router.)

Set up the wireless settings that you want to use on the router. If you plan on securing your wireless connection (which you should), write down those settings as well.

Configure your settings on each of the computers from the wireless network and you should be able to connect to the Internet.
well you could buy a wireless router and wireless cards for both your computer, make sure the wireless router is hooked up to the Internet router, or you could just hook them up using an Ethernet cable to the back of a router.

Alien computers?

are alien computers good for pc games and can you run normal porgrams like word pad and stuff

Alien computers?norten

Alien was purchased by Dell. I would look elsewhere for a gaming machine. If you have the bucks, have a custom built to your specifications.

Alien computers?panda

Alien computers are MEANT for gaming. They are top of the line for gaming needs. Of course it still runs normal programs. It still has a normal OS on it. The hardware is just normally very fast (and expensive)!
alien computers are the best for gaming, but are very expensive. if your a die hard player and you have enough cash, buy it. it can run all types of programs, word pad, excel, you name it. its the best Windows operated system you can get. If you want a very good computer for gaming but for a cheaper price, try dell. they are quite good(not better than alien) and can be bought quite cheaply.
All computers can do word pad but alien computers are the best for gaming because of their specifications. go to this website and check it out.

if you went to the website you would see that this is a super computer meant for gaming. The price is a bit on the high side. But you should still get it if you want gaming that much

When an earthquake occurs, computers create maps that show where the different strengths of shaking are likely to be. What factors are taken into account by the computer models to create these maps?

Can somebody help me answer this question?

    thanks

When an earthquake occurs, computers create maps that show where the different strengths of shaking are...?nortin

    1. soil type and thickness.

    2. rock type.

    3. depth to water.

When an earthquake occurs, computers create maps that show where the different strengths of shaking are...?pc security

Im not an expert but i have done a geography degree. I would imagine the strength of the shaking is likely to be calculated by how close you are to the epicentre, i.e. the location of the earthquake. The strength of shaking should decrease from this point outwards. Another thing that may be a factor is the type of rock that is underneath the ground. Seismic waves travel at different speeds depending on the substance they are travelling through. For example, a seismic wave will travel much faster through liquid than it will through solid rock and the density of the rocks will also make a difference. I hope this helps.

    Good world of warcraft computers?

Im trying to find a good computer to play world of warcraft on that wont have much lag and stuff or just like parts that help..plz give me some parts or computers that are good for w.o.w

Good world of warcraft computers?norton 360

You want a 2 ghz or better processor, at least 2 gigs of ram, and a moderate level video card such as the g-force 6000 series. Even with these components the computer can only run as well as the servers for WoW allow. My son has custom built his computer to play games like WoW (he's the one who told me those specifications, btw) and he still has the occasional problem with lag and disconnects. We aren't sure if it's Blizzard's servers or our Comcast service when it happens, but it does still happen. (However, the rest of the time his WoW experience is great.)

    Warcraft...great stuff..

um...I suggest a Windows computer, one of the newer styles..

I have Windows, and I've been playing WOW for a while. Never had lag problems.

    Hope this helps.
