If its Windows XP, use the built-in Internet Connection sharing Feature
Start -%26gt; Control Panel -%26gt; Network setup wizard
Follow the prompt to ''Share an Internet Connection''...
Make sure you have a network switch (hardware) that connects both machines together while the phone line is connected and working on one of the PC.
easy :)
u need to connect both computers through USB , network card , etc .... so in this way u are creating a small local area network (LAN) . after that just enable internet connection sharing on the computer which dials the number (right click on connection , use connection sharing tab)
The mentioning of a dial up router is not so easy, it is very difficult to even find a home router that is for dial up. I saw one on ad years ago, don't exist anymore I suppose.
What you do is turning the computer that has the modem into a router in the true sense of the word, either install a proxy software on it and configure accordingly or put in a full-fledged gateway.
If you are using windows XP, ME, 2000 or 98se, you can use Internet Connection Sharing.

Using dial up with a router is absolutely crazy. You need to get dsl then go buy a dsl router at wal mart or someplace like that.
First make Netwoking of Both computers using Cross-over cable and and install proxy software on the main PC and make setting in internet explorer on 2nd PC to use proxy
You need a router.
