Dont they use parental controls on school computers?

I have a 14 year old son who has been caught going to those trashy porn sites on our home computer and I have taken all of the steps to ensure this doesnt happen again and he just came home from school today and informed me that he was busted at school doing the same thing!!!!!!

He knows what he did was wrong but if a kid knows he can get to those sites he sure is going to try and get away with it,duh!!!!!!

Should I raise a stink that they dont ensure our kids' safety at school with parental controls?

I guess in the times we live in I just assumed that our schools protected our kids when they were on school computers!!!!!

I am in high school and at my school all sites like that are blocked. Game sites are also blocked. It is really hard to get a project done because a lot of sites are blocked for no reason. You should to talk to the pricipal about getting this at your son's school.

Many schools don't put parental controls on their computers because they block out some educational sites.

Personally, I don't think you should try to change this. The kid is 14...it's no longer about protection. Simply making it unavailable in the schools won't keep your child from finding somewhere else.

Besides, he was caught in school. That means they do pay attention to where kids go online.
Here is a better question.. what is so "trashy" about natural expressions of human sexuality? Certainly you know that there are other cultures that are less restrictive in this area and if you do some research you will find that they actually have less trouble with teen pregnancy, molestations, and rape cases. It is important to understand that whenever you make something "banned" and "forbidden" you are only enhancing its attractiveness. It is better to embrace reality with open arms rather than trying in vain to hide it.
