What do computers run off of? What was the first thing that made a computer, and how?

The most basic thing that makes a computer run is binary logic. Ones and Zeros, 1 and 0, is it on? 1 or is it off? 0 every thing, the most hughest supercomputer, internet is built up of these binary bits, endlessly toggling, on or off.

It shows what the computers ran on. As far as personal computers of the Microsoft type, MS-DOS ran the first computers. :-)

Binary, however i suppose more basic then that, is simply a few transistors, and switches, and you switching things on and off.. However technicaly that's binary.
